Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
what is the surface area of a cylinder the radius is 3.5 and the height is 6.8
----
base and top have the same area:
base = pi*r^2 = (3.5)^2(pi) = 12.25(pi) sq units
----------------
side surfact = (perimeter of base) *height
ss = (2pi*r*h) = 2*pi*3.5*6.8 sq units = 47.6(pi)sq units
---------------------
Total area = [2(12.25)+47.6]pi sq units = 72.1(pi) sq units
