Question 72873: How do you find the area of an irregular region? I know that the formula is A=(I+1/2B) x U...but that is basically it. In each question, we are given some kind of wavy shape with a grid on top of it, and the lenght of a side of one square of the grid is given.

It looks like you're supposed to make triangles out of this irregular shape, and use the basic area of a triangle formula to find out the area of all of the pieces.
