Question 604322: I'm not quite sure if it belongs in this area but;
I need to find the surface area of a smaller solid, the volumes of the two similar solids are 729m^3 and 125^3. The surface area of the larger solid is 324m^3. What is the surface area of the smaller solid? Im not asking for a direct answer but more or less just an explanation on how to get it.
Thanks.

if S and s are the length of similar sides, then V/v = (S/s)^3

for surface areas A and a, A/a = (S/s)^2

(S/s)^2 = [(S/s)^3]^(2/3)

so, A/a = (V/v)^(2/3)
