: The volume of the box is represented by (x^2+5x+6)(x+5). Find the polynomial that represents the area of the bottom of the box. The problem shows a box with (x+2) beside it.
Should I start with: (x^2+5x+6)(x+5)/x+2 ?
Not sure on this one!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume=(x^2+5x+6)(x+5).
Rewrite as:
Volume=(x+3)(x+2)(x+5)
Do you see any of these factors
in the picture as the height of the figure?
If you do, the product of the other two factors
is the area of the base.

Stan H.
