Hi,
a square garden has a side of (x-7y)m. what would be the effect on it's area if the lenght is doubled.
A(square) = side^2 =
length doubled
A = [2(x-7y)]^2 =
That is the Area would increase by 4 times (the effect of squaring the 2)
for ex: tripling the length would result in Area increasing by 9 times
