Question 452971: The problem says:
A square has an area of 16x^2+24x+9. Find the length of one side. Make a sketch of the square.
The sketch is already there, but I can't even begin to explain what it looks like so maybe if someone could help me with the equation, I can figure out what goes where on my own. I hope :)
Thanks

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
16x^2+24x+9
(4x)^2+2*4*3+(3)^2
=(4x+3)^2 is the area
Area = l^2
l= sqrt(area)
so 4x+3 is the side of the square
