Mr Rawlings is going to cover the floor with carpet that costs $18 per square meter. How much will it cost? The deminsions of the figure are 550cm by 650cm.
Please help....instructions would be appreciated since I have to explain this step by step.

Mr Rawlings is going to cover the floor with carpet that costs $18 per square meter.
How much will it cost? The dimensions of the figure are 550cm by 650cm.
:
They give the cost per sq/meter, change the dimensions to meters
550/100 = 5.5 m
650/100 = 6.5 m
:
Find the area, multiply by $18
5.5 * 6.5 * 18 = $643.50
