A right circular cylinder has height of 15 feet and lateral surface area equal to 120 square feet.
Find the volume of the cylinder.
:
Find the radius using the Lateral area:
LA = 2*pi*r*h
2*pi*r*15 = 120
30*pi*r = 120
Divide both sides by 30
pi*r = 4
r = is the radius
:
Find the Vol; V = pi*r^2*h
V = *15
V = *15
Cancel pi
V = *15
V = 76.394 cu/ft
