Question 30773: a room is 24 feet long, 18 feet wide, and 9 feet high. how many square yards of wallpaper are needed to paper the four walls of the room?
Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
24x18x9feet is 8x6x3 yds

So, long walls: 8x3 --> 24 square yds for each. Total = 48 square yds.
and short walls: 6x3 --> 18 square yds for each. Total = 36 square yds.

Total = 84 square yds.

Bad questions though: what about a door? windows? shrugs.
