What is the formula for finding this?

I am guessing here that you are dealing with a rectangular shape.
If so do you mean the length of the other side?
In that case Area is found by length(L)X width(W)
A=LxW
So what have we got?
and one side say W=5
to find L we have to rearrange our formula to get
so the other side is 25ft.
If you are dealing with another shape re-post question with more detail.
