what is the area of 8ft. by 28in.?

Step 1. I assume the above dimensions is a rectangle.

Step 2. So area of rectangle is multiplying the dimensions of 8ft and 28 in.

Step 3. To put the area in square feet, we need to convert 28 inches in feet.

We note that 1 feet = 12 inches, so 28+inches%2A1+feet%2F12+inches= 2.3333 feet or 7/3 feet.

Step 4. ANSWER: Then area A=+8%2A7%2F3=56%2F3=18.67 square feet.
