120=4x%2A5 Plug in the volume of V=120 and the length and height of L=4 and H=5. We'll use "x" for the unknown width.


120=20x Multiply


120%2F20=x Divide both sides by 20 to isolate "x"

So the solution is x=6 which means that the length is 6 meters.
