Question 184969: The surface area of a cube is 60cmsquare
Work out volume of the cube.
I have to work this out without using calculator.
I divided 60 by 6 to give area of one side = 10 cms square.
I know that volume of cube is l x w x h.
Is there a special formula for the answer
Thank you

good start...
now since the area of each side is 10 cms square
A = s^2
10 = s ^2
sqr(10) = sqr (s^2)
sqr(10) = side
Volume = s^3
Volume = sqr(10)*sqr(10)*sqr(10)
Volume = 10 sqr (10)
