Question 175471: What is the formula to find the volume and the area of base on a triangular prism?
Answer by Mathtut(3670)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Triangular Prism Formula:
Area of Base(A) = 1/2 * a * b
Perimeter of Base(P) = s1 + s2 + s3
Surface Area of Prism = ab + (s1 + s2 + s3)h = ab + Ph
Volume of Prism = 1/2 * a * b * h = Ah
where
a = altitude, b = base, h = height and s1, s2, s3 are sides
