What is the surface area of a box whose dimensions are 7 feet by 8 feet by 6 feet?

Draw the figure and you will see there are 6 faces.
There are 2 that are 7*8 sq. ft.
There are 2 that are 7*6 sq. ft.
There are 2 that are 8*6 sq. ft.

Surface area = 2[56 + 42 + 48] sq. ft
Surface area = 292 sq. ft.

2(7*8)+2(8*6)+2(7*6)=2*56+2*48+2*42=112+96+84=292 ft^2
