Sam wishes to fertilize his lawn that is 75 feet by 207 feet. The fertilizer is on sale for $5.25 per bag. Each bag covers 575 square yards. What is the cost to fertilize his yard?

First, you have to find the area. You do this by multiplying the dimensions.

This comes out to be 15,525.

Now, you divide that number by 3 to convert it to yards.
That comes out to be 5,175.

Next, you divide that number by 575 to determine how many bags you will need.
That comes out to be 9.

Lastly, multiply that number by 5.25 to determine the cost.

Which brings you to your answer, that it would cost $47.25 to fertilize the yard.
