You didn't say which ends have the semicircles.
I'll do it for the 48 m wide ends:

Area of the rectangle = 48*96 sq meters
Area of the 2 semicircles = pi*24^2 sq meters
Add the 2 areas.

Ikelyn's answer makes no sense.

the length of the oval track is equal to sum of two lengths of the rectangle (each ) and circumference of the circle (you got two semicircles on each end)

assuming that the semicircle is on the end then: radius will be
and the length will be:



=>ans. for the length
the area enclosed by the track will be equal to the area of rectangle plus the area of circle:




...=> ans. for the area
