If the perimeter of the window is 1512 centimeters and the length of the base of the window is 112 centimeters, find the total area of the window.
:
h = the height of the rectangular portion of the window
The perimeter = 1/2 the circumference + twice the height + the base
(*) + 2h + 112 = 1512
351.858 + 112 + 2h = 1512
463.858 + 2h = 1512
2h = 1512 - 463.858
2h = 1048.142
h = 1048/2
h = 524.071 cm is the height
:
total area; semicircle radius: 112/2 = 56 cm
A = * + (524.071*56)
A = 4926.017 + 29348.144
A = 34,274.161 sq/cm
