Question 100542: Find the perimeter or circumference, and the area of a square with side 2 ft. 3 in.
Answer by doukungfoo(195) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First convert 2 feet 3 inches into just inches.
Since 1 foot equals 12 inches.
2 feet 3 inches equals 27 inches.
The perimeter of a square is equal to the sum of all its sides.
A square has four sides so
27 inches times 4 equals the perimeter.
So the perimeter equals 108 inches.
To convert 108 inches into feet and inches just divide by 12.
Answer:
Perimeter = 108 inches = 9 feet
