x is a natural number and it's between 1 and 5 (excluding each endpoint)

So we have this set: {2, 3, 4}

There are 3 elements which means n = 3.

So there are 2^n = 2^3 = 8 subsets and (2^n)-1 = (2^3)-1 = 8-1 = 7 proper subsets.
