Question 95396This question is from textbook
: The U.S. population in 1990 was approximately 250 million, and the average growth
rate for the past 30 years gives a doubling time of 66 years. The above formula for the
United States then becomes
P (in millions) = 250 * 2( y-1990)/66
What will the population of the United States be in 2025 if this
growth rate continues?
I put in 2025-1990/66 and I get .530
I am clueless on how to simplify or solve after that.

: Suppose that N= sqrt of x (only x) +3 (not under sqrt sign) models the number of cases of an infection, in millions, of a disease x years from now.
a) approximately how many cases of the infection will there be 9 yrs from now?
b) In how many years will there be 5 million cases?
** This is not an equation from our next book, it is one that our instructor gave us as apart of a seperate assignmentThis question is from textbook Blitzer College Algebra
