Question 202375: I am not sure which answer is right Express in simplest radical form text said to not use calculator. (sqrt2 - 3)(sqrt2 + 3) I get (-1.59)(-1.59) or is the answer sqrt4 = 2
And (sqrt3 - sqrt5)(sqrt3 - sqrt 5) don't they just cancel each other out to = 1
Thanks for any help

Question 202919: I would appreciate it if someone could tell me if these are right. Thanks so much
Express in simplest radical form.
sqrt 25a^2b^2
I get 5ab^2 = sqrt25 x sqrta^2 x sqrt b^2 = 5 horizonal line ab horzonal line
sqrt 50x^2
I get sqrt50 x sqrt x^2 = 50 horizonal line x horzonal line or is this right
sqrt 25times2 = 25sqrt x 2sqrt = 5sqrt2
6sqrt7 x 3 sqrt5
I get (6 x 3) (sqrt& x sqrt5) = 18 sqrt35
3sqrt2 + sqrt50
I get 3(sqrt52) or do I have to simplify the sqrt50 down further

Question 205589: The question is: Simplify: (3 times the square root of 5)^3
what i did so far was wrote the whole equation out. As (3 times the square root of 5) 3 times. Then i multiplied 3, 3 times to get 27. then i multiplied 5, 3 times to get 125. I don't know what to do next. This is a multiple choice question. The choices are: 15, 125, 5, and 5,-5.

Question 206036: There are two questions to this, but I believe I answered the first part correctly.
1a.)Suppose that N=sqrt x+2 models the number of cases of an infection, in millions, of a disease x years from now.
How many cases of the infection will there be 16 years from now?
My answer is: N=sqrt x+2
sqrt(16)=4
sqrt(16)+2=6
6 million cases in 16 years.
1b)In how many years will there be 7 million cases?
Part b is what I need help with. Will you please show me this step by step?
Thank you for your help.
