Question 191863: I'd like to know how to simplify the following:
I'm not sure if I should eliminate the square root by putting parentheses around the entire expression and cubing it, or if I should pull x to the 5th out, leaving the problem as x to the 5th * the 3rd sqrt of 80x squared. And the same problem with the denominator...do I pull out z squared, leaving me with z squared * the 3rd sqrt of 9y. Or do I go with my first instinct and cube everything...leaving me with 512,000 x to the 51st/729 y3z18? Yikes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Question 192723: One common use of positive and negative exponents is in writing numbers as scientific notation. For example 0.000052 can be written as 5.2 × 10-5. A) Use scientific notation and the laws of exponents to evaluate (0.000048)(0.0000035)(0.00014). Leave your answer in scientific notation. B) If a space probe travels at 100 kilometers per second for 12 years, how far will it travel? Write your answer in scientific notation. (Assume 1 year = 365 days)

Question 193663: Alright..Sir or ma'am, I have a Question on this one problem. it says,
Multiply:
(I Don't know how to type the actural problem) the cubic root of 7 times the cubic root of 2. I might know how to do it but I'm not sure. I would think that you'd multiply the 7 and 2 to get 14. so the answer would be the cubic root of 14. Is that Right?
