Question 985530: 1 over the square root of x over the square root of x plus 2 over the square root of x over the square root of x
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/sqrt(x)/sqrt(x+2)/sqrt(x)/sqrt(x)
;
Move the last sqrt(x) to the denominator above and get x.
Rationalize the first fraction to have sqrt(x)/x. That is the numerator.
The denominator is sqrt(x+2)/x
This simplifies to sqrt(x)/sqrt(x+2)
multiply top and bottom by sqrt(x+2)
The result is sqrt (x^2+2x)/(x+2)
