Suppose that N = sqrt of x (only x) + 3 (not under sqrt sign) models the number of cases of an infection, in millions, of a disease x years from now.
:

:
a) approximately how many cases of the infection will there be 9 yrs from now?

N = 3 + 3
N = 6 million cases
:
b) In how many years will there be 5 million cases?
;
