WE want the coefficient of x^2 to be 1, divide equation by 4
1t^2 - (8/4)t + ____ = -1/4

t^2 - 2t + ____ = -1/4
:
Find the value to complete the square: (1/2)*2 = 1; (1)^2 = 1
t^2 - 2t + 1 = -1/4 + 1

t^2 - 2t + 1 = +3/4

(t - 1)^2 = 3/4

t - 1 = +/-Sqrt(3/4)
