Question 793219: how do you find the solution to
y=x^2+2x+1
Answer by waynest(281) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
factor:
x^2 + 2x + 1 = y
(x + 1)^2 = y
x + 1 = 0
x + 1 - 1 = 0 - 1
x = -1
check:
(-1)^2 + 2(-1) + 1 = 0
1 - 2 + 1 = 0
0 = 0
