Question 7012: write the polynomial function having the given roots. (i do no understand how to do this.)
-3,+-6
the "+" before the 6 is over the "-".

Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you have 3 roots, at x=-6, x=-3 and x=+6

so working backwards, we can say that x+6=0 or x+3=0 or x-6=0

So, the 3 factors are (x+6)(x+3)(x-6) = 0

So, AN equation is y = (x+6)(x+3)(x-6)... there are many that satisfy these 3 roots.

Multiply out the brackets to get the cubic equation.
