find the area of a box with dimensions sqrt 3 + sqrt 5 (length) and sqrt 3 + sqrt 5 (height)
Use FOIL as follows:
F: sqrt3 * sqrt3 = 3
O: sqrt3 * sqrt5 = sqrt15
I: sqrt5 * sqrt3 = sqrt15
L: sqrt5 * sqrt% = 5
Combine to get:
8 + 2sqrt(15)
