SOLUTION: 12 divided by the square root of 20
now when i worked this out i got 3 radical 20 over 5 but the back of the book got 6 radical 5 over 5. i dont see how they got this...

3(radical 5 X 4)/5
Simplify the terms under the radical by finding the square root of 4:
(radical 4 = 2)
Multiply by 2, simplify and you have the correct answer:
3 X 2 (radical 5)/5
6(radical 5)/5
