Question 373105: can you find any numbers a and b such that a+b squared = a squared + b squared
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20055)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
      (a + b)² = a² + b²

(a + b)(a + b) = a² + b²

 a² + 2ab + b² = a² + b²

           2ab = 0

            ab = 0

Either a = 0 or b = 0

So the answer is: Yes, as long as one of them is zero
or both of them are zero.
