Question 350695: sqrt(-36)(8-Sqrt(-64))^2
Answer by haileytucki(390) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I tried to understand the written problem; I interpreted it as follows:
(~(-36))(8-~((64))^(2))
Pull all perfect square roots out from under the radical. In this case, remove the 6i because it is a perfect square.
(6i)(8-~((64))^(2))
Raising a square root to the square power results in the expression inside the root.
(6i)(8-((64)))
Remove the parentheses around the expression 64.
(6i)(8-(64))
Multiply -1 by the 64 inside the parentheses.
(6i)(8-64)
Subtract 64 from 8 to get -56.
(6i)(-56)
Multiply 6i by -56 to get -336i.
(-336i)
Remove the parentheses around the expression -336i.
-336i
(Any oy the ~ signs mena the square root of)
