a RATIOnal number is any number which can be expressed as the RATIO of two whole numbers
___ irrational numbers are everything else
3.2 = 16/5
the imperfect roots are irrational ___ sqrt(2) , cuberoot(7) , etc.
rational numbers are real , but not all real numbers are rational ___ pi, e and the above roots are examples
integer, whole, and natural numbers are rational ___ but not necessarily vice-versa
