Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2-sqrt(x)=8-x
-sqrt(x)=6-x
x=x^2-12x+36 square each side.
x^2-13x+36=0
(x-9)(x-4)=0
x=9 The only answer. [x=4 is an extraneous solution}
