Question 33810: Hello. The problem is 9 / square root 7. The problem says rationalize the denominator and assume all variables represent positive real numbers. I came up with 9 (squareroor) 7. Please let me know if this is correct and if not, where I messed up. Thanks in advance.
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
9/sqrt7
Multiply numerator and denominator by sqrt 7 to get:
[9sqrt7] /(7)
This is called "rationalizing the denominator".
