Squaring both sides of the equation we get:
x + 1 = x + 1
When you square square roots, the radicals disappear. This is what happened above.

When you try to combine like terms in the equation x + 1 = x + 1, you will see that each term cancels itself.
Therefore, there is no solution to the original equation given.
This is known as empty set.
