Hello,
Let's look at this another way and maybe it will make sense to you. Square root or cube root etc is the reverse of exponents. I'll give you an example. 2 to the third power (2^3) is what? 2*2*2=8
Now the cube root of 8 is 2. Cube means 3 basically.
