Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2Sqrt(50)+sqrt(8)
factor 50 and 8
2Sqrt(25*2)+sqrt(4*2)
pull out sqrt 25 and sqrt of 4
2*5*sqrt2+2Sqrt2
simplify
10sqrt2+2sqrt2
combine
12sqrt2
Answer by dabanfield(803) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2*sqrt(50) + sqrt(8) =
2*sqrt(25*2) + sqrt(4*2) =
2*(sqrt(25)*sqrt(2)) + (sqrt(4)*sqrt(2)) =
2*(5*sqrt(2)) + 2*sqrt(2) =
10*sqrt(2) + 2*sqrt(2)
Factor out the sqrt(2):
(10+2)*sqrt(2) = 12*sqrt(2)
