Question 22644: √5-x +3= √38-x Please help me someone.
Answer by queenofit(120) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I can't see what all is under the square root sign, so it is hard to help. But try this. Remember if you do something to one side you can do it to the other side. So square what ever is under the square root sign on both sides of the equation. This will get rid of your square root sign and you can solve the equation.
try it and let me know what happens. or try somehow to send it to me showing all the numbers and variables that are under the square root sign and I will try to help if you can't get the answer.
Remember, when you look at the answers in the back of the book, they are not always right. Graduate students usually do the answers and they sometimes are in a hurry and don't pay good attention.
