Question 194264: I need help using the square root property to solve this equation. Thanks!
(z-3)^2=-18
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(z-3)^2=-18
z^2-6z+9+18=0
z^2-6z+27=0
z=(6+-sqrt[6^2-4*1*27])/2*1
z=(6+-sqrt[36-108])/2
z=(6+-sqrt-72)/2
z=(6+-8.485i)/2
z=6/2+-8.485i/2
z=3+-4.2426i ans.
