Question 1116009: If L = 6.1 × 10^30 W and
F = 5.3 × 10^(–10) W m^(-2),
find d in the equation d = square root of (L over (4 Pi F))
You should give your answer in scientific notation, with the correct number of significant figures and the correct SI base units.
(N.B. You do not need to understand the underlying science or the units used in order to answer this question.)

I’ve done the calculations and i came out with this answer d = 0.092 x 10^20 m but its not correct. Can someone please tell me what have i done wrong? Thank you

No; we can't tell you what you did wrong, because we don't know HOW you did the calculations. Assuming you are using a calculator, you probably have some missing or misplaced parentheses.

sqrt((6.1*10^30)/(4pi(5.3*10^-10))) = 3.026*10^19
