Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Isolate the radical by adding 1 to both sides
sqrt(2y-1)=3
square both sides
2y-1=9
solve for y
2y=10
y=5 ANSWER
Check to see if it works
sqrt(10-1)-1=2
3-1=2.
