Question 100511: How do we square trinomials?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have to use the distributive property for every term on the whole trinomial. It's messy, but you have to do it.
For example: %28x+%2B+y+%2B+z%29%5E2
%28x+%2B+y+%2B+z%29%5E2+=+x%28x+%2B+y+%2B+z%29+%2B+y%28x+%2B+y+%2B+z%29+%2B+z%28x+%2B+y+%2B+z%29
In reality, this is what you are doing when you square a binomial. This works for any polynomial.
