Question 58598: Okay I am an 8th grade student and I am (sadly) learning algebra, At the beggining I understanded everything but now... I am learning all kinds of stuff and I am honestly mixed up... Like we are learning BEDMAS (order of operation) with algebra...

E:Exponent
D:Division
M"Multiplication
A:Addtion
S:Substraction.
And then I learned the negatives and positives, and the common (like) terms... and then I learned all these things I am totally lost...
Here is one of my problems:
-(10x(exponent 2))+(5xy-9)-(8x(exponent 2)+18xy)= ???
Ohhhhhh I am totally lost PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Simplify:
-[-(-1)15] (that *15* means the power of 15) So since the answer without the *15* would be -1, then with the 15th power would it be -15 since negative times a positive is a negative?
