Question 46921: 1. What are the 2 solutions of the equation 2x(squared)+2x = 4-x?
I tried factoring subtracting 4 from both sides and factoring out the left side but couldn't come up with the correct answer.

Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x^2 + 2x = 4 - x
2x^2 + 3x - 4 = 0

x = (-3 +- sqrt(9 - 4(2)(-4)))/(2 * 2)
= (-3 +- sqrt(41))/4
