Notice the following pattern:
1 = 1
1 + 2 = 3
1 + 2 + 3 = 6
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10
So, the next number is 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15
These numbers are known as the triangular numbers.
