Question 109949: Hello, I am hoping for some help on this problem I am working on, here is the problem: Evaluate each of the expressions if a=-2, b=5, c=-4, and d=6. Now the question; b^2 - 2bc + c^a
What I have so far for my answer is this: 5(5) - 2(5)(-4) + (-4^-2) I hope what I have so far makes sense and I am on the right track. Thank you for your help.

b^2 - 2bd + c^a
= 5^2 - 2(5)(6) + (-4)^(-2)
= 25 - 60 + 1/16
= -34.9375
