Question 148493: Divide and simplify:
y^2+7y+10/2y-4 divided by y^2-3y-10/y-2
: Divide and simplify:
y^2+7y+10/2y-4 divided by y^2-3y-10/y-2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(y^2+7y+10)/(2y-4) divided by (y^2-3y-10)/(y-2)

Factor everything possible

(y+5)(y+2)/(2(y-2)) divided by (y-5)(y+2)/(y-2)

Cancel everything in common

(y+5)/(2) divided by (y-5)/1

Now flip the second one

(y+5)/(2) multiplied by 1/(y-5)

Then multiply

1(y+5)/(2)(y-5)

Simplify the mess

(y+5)/(2y-10)

Take negative two out of the denominator

(y+5)/-2(y+5)

Cancel out like terms
