2 = 1 x 2
9 = 3 x 3
28 = 7 x 4
65 = 13 x 5
126 = 21 x 6
See, the first terms on RHS is of following pattern:
1, 1+2, 1+2+4 , 1+2+4+6 1+2+4+6+8, so next term will be 1+2+4+6+8+10 =31
2nd terms on RHS follow simple progression
2,3,4,5,6....so next term is 7
So Next term in our series = 31 x 7 = 217
