In the geometric sequence 4, 10, 25, 62 1/2, n... What is the 5th term, n?
Solution:
The common ratio is 2 1/2, therefore to get the 5th term multiply the 4th term by 2 1/2.
5th term = (62 1/2)(2 1/2) = 156 1/4 [Answer]
